G&G Awarded Contract to Orchestrate Large-Scale Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Conference

(Washington DC) – Gallagher & Gallagher, Inc., was awarded a prime contract to coordinate the five-day Office of Personnel Managements Workforce Conference—the largest to date—held at the Baltimore Convention Center, Baltimore, MD. The Federal Workforce Conference was aimed at providing training to the government’s top human capital leaders.

With 300 breakout sessions, 200 speakers and more than 150 exhibitors, the conference held April of 2006 featured some of today’s leading individuals and companies connected with workplace management and personnel success. Over 2,000 federal employees attended daily, where they were enveloped in the future direction of human resources.

During the conference, entitled Transformation for Results, federal employees responsible for all aspects of Human Capital Management were in attendance and prepared for the changing face of the industry. They had the opportunity for small-group sessions with leaders in the various arenas of personnel development.

Gallagher & Gallagher, Inc. won the contract while competing against several top agencies nationwide. The agency was the prime contractor with overall project responsibility, overseeing all areas of planning, marketing and implementation of the conference until its completion. The Gallagher & Gallagher team managed the event as the lead contractor, working with several subcontractors among them Lockheed Martin.

The collaboration of OPM support staff and subcontractors—like well-known Lockheed Martin—with the Gallagher team proved to be successful for all.
